Cape Cod's local dumpster company

Roll-off dumpster rental across Cape Cod

Prime Dump runs out of a yard at 19 Tradesman Cir, East Falmouth, MA 02536 — in the Town of Falmouth, Barnstable County, on a private road off Thomas B. Landers Road, right by the Town's Waste Management Facility and minutes from Route 28. Cape Cod is not just a service area; it is home. The idea is simple: dumpster rental that is easy, affordable and dependable. So we keep it plain. Clean, well-maintained roll-off containers. One flat-rate price with no hidden fees. A delivery window we tell you up front. A local person on the line, not a national call center.

Barnstable County had 228,996 people at the 2020 Census, 48,916 of them in Barnstable and 32,517 in Falmouth. Homeowners call about garage and estate cleanouts, remodels, roofs and storm cleanup; landlords and property managers turn over year-round and seasonal rentals; contractors work from Woods Hole and Hyannis out to Chatham and Provincetown. Knowing which of those a call is before the truck leaves the yard is most of the job — along with knowing that a container left overnight needs the local fire department's permit, that Bourne, Mashpee, Harwich, Chatham, Wellfleet, Truro and Provincetown each have a rule for anything in the street, that most of Route 28 and the Mid-Cape Highway are state highway where MassDOT has no container permit, that Mashpee wants empty dumpsters back in the contractor's yard between rentals, that Provincetown wants a pest control contract for the whole rental, and that Massachusetts bans mattresses, appliances and recyclables from the trash.

Whatever you are clearing — a garage or a whole house, a job site, a yard full of storm limbs or a rental you want emptied by a crew — the container exists for it. Call (508) 388-1861 and describe it in a sentence.

Why Cape Cod chooses us

Why people call us back

  • You reach a local team, not a call center

The phone is answered by a local team member who knows the Cape — a tight drive in a village center, a job site off Route 28, a seasonal place on the Outer Cape.

  • Flat-rate pricing, said out loud

Delivery, pickup, disposal, the rental period and the included weight explained up front. No hidden fees. If your load looks like it will go over, we say so before the truck leaves the yard.

  • Same-day when availability allows

Call before noon and we can often deliver within hours. If it has to be tomorrow, we tell you before you book.

  • Driveway-friendly placement

Careful placement on a flat, solid surface, with protective boards on request. If a tight drive, low wires or soft ground needs a different plan, the driver tells you before delivery.

  • The right box, not the biggest

Weight fills a container long before volume does. If a 10 yard is the honest answer for your shingles or concrete, that is what we will quote you — honest recommendations, not upselling.

  • Ready for storm cleanup

A Cape storm can bring down limbs and roofing in an afternoon. We tell you honestly when the container can be there, and the 15 and 20 yard sizes take most storm piles in one go.

Simple from start to finish

Five steps, one phone call

Most bookings take a few minutes.

  1. Step 1: Call and tell us the job

One short conversation. We ask the address and the town — in Barnstable, the village — what you are clearing, whether a cleanout, a renovation, a roof, a yard or a job site, what is going in, roughly how much there is, and how much room the driveway or lot gives us.

  2. Step 2: We size it and quote it flat

We recommend the right size, so you do not pay for space you will not use or run out of room, and you get a clear, flat-rate price that covers delivery, pickup, the standard rental period and disposal within the included weight. If it is concrete, shingles or dirt, we say up front that weight decides the size.

  3. Step 3: Delivered where you want it

The driver sets the container on the driveway, lot or job site where you asked, on a flat, solid surface rather than the lawn, with protective boards on request. Often same-day or next-day, when availability allows. You do not need to be home if the spot is marked and clear.

  4. Step 4: Load it at your pace

Keep it level with or below the top edge and keep the problem items out — paint, solvents and automotive fluids, fuel and propane tanks, batteries and electronics, tires, medical waste, asbestos and hazardous chemicals, plus what Massachusetts bans from disposal, such as mattresses, appliances and recyclable cardboard. Need more time or a swap mid-job? One call.

  5. Step 5: We pick it up and handle the disposal

Call or text when it is full or the job is done and we schedule a prompt pickup, often within 24 hours. The load is covered for the road and goes to licensed disposal and recycling facilities, with metal, concrete, clean wood, cardboard and yard waste recycled whenever possible.

Local knowledge

Fifteen towns, one yard, and we know the driveways

There is a difference between covering an area and knowing it. We know which drives the truck fits down, that a container over 6 cubic yards left overnight needs the fire department's permit (527 CMR 1.00, Table 1.12.8.5) — from the fire district covering the job in Barnstable — that Bourne needs Select Board approval for any dumpster on a public way (Traffic Rules § 4.5), that Mashpee licenses dumpster contractors and wants empty dumpsters back in the contractor's yard between rentals (Refuse Regulation §§ 4A, 4H), that Harwich licenses obstructions in any way except driveways (§ 255-1), that Falmouth limits waste collection to 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. (§ 191-10), and that on the MassDOT-owned stretches of Routes 6, 6A, 28, 28A, 130, 134, 137 and 151 MassDOT has no container permit. In Truro and Provincetown we check the Town's rules before booking.

Our service area page lists every town and village we cover, grouped by area, and each has its own page covering access, local character and what that town's own rules say about containers in the street and who may haul.

Credentials

What you are actually hiring

Plain, checkable facts about who you would be working with — no invented star ratings or reviews.

  • Licensed & insured, with careful drivers

Drivers who respect your property and place each container with care. Ask when you book if your property manager, general contractor or HOA needs proof of insurance.

  • Based in East Falmouth, off Thomas B. Landers Road

The yard is at 19 Tradesman Cir, East Falmouth, MA 02536 — in the Town of Falmouth, Barnstable County. The number on this page reaches a local team, not an answering service in another state.

  • Every town on Cape Cod

All fifteen Cape towns — Falmouth, Mashpee, Bourne and Sandwich on the Upper Cape; Barnstable with Hyannis, Osterville, Centerville and Cotuit, then Yarmouth and Dennis on the Mid Cape; Harwich, Brewster, Chatham, Orleans, Eastham, Wellfleet, Truro and Provincetown on the Lower and Outer Cape. We tell you honestly about timing and any local rule before you book.

  • Sorted the way Massachusetts requires

Massachusetts bans mattresses, textiles, large appliances, TVs, car batteries, whole tires, yard waste and recyclable paper, cardboard and containers from disposal, sends mixed construction debris for separation, and wants an asbestos survey before demolition or renovation. We keep our own not-accepted list on top of that, recycle what facilities take, and say so.

Dumpster rental on Cape Cod — your questions

How much does it cost to rent a dumpster on Cape Cod?

It depends on the dumpster size, the rental duration, the type of debris and the placement requirements, so we quote each job rather than publish a price list. Our pricing is flat-rate and transparent: delivery and pickup, the standard rental period and disposal within the included weight limit, with no hidden fees. Additional charges may apply for excess weight, extended rental periods or prohibited materials, and we explain those up front. Call (508) 388-1861 and you will have a clear price before delivery.

How quickly can you deliver a dumpster on Cape Cod?

Same-day or next-day throughout Cape Cod whenever availability allows. If you call earlier in the day — before noon is best — we can often deliver within hours. The phone is answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, but we do not promise night or Sunday drop-offs.

Do I need a permit for a dumpster on Cape Cod?

Usually, yes — but not always from the town. Every container we run is over 6 cubic yards, and under the Massachusetts fire code a rubbish container over 6 cubic yards needs a permit from the head of the local fire department unless it is delivered and removed in the same business day (527 CMR 1.00, Table 1.12.8.5). In Falmouth the property owner, tenant or generator obtains it; in Barnstable it comes from the fire district covering the job. A street placement brings the town's own rules: Bourne needs Select Board approval, Mashpee the DPW Director's written permission, Harwich a written licence, and Chatham bars obstructions that block parking or pedestrians. In Falmouth and Barnstable we found no Town street permit for a container, and on a state highway MassDOT has no permit type for one. We walk you through it when you book — the permit guide has the details.

What can't go in a dumpster in Massachusetts?

Under our rules: paints, solvents and automotive fluids, batteries and electronics, propane tanks and fuel containers, tires, medical waste, asbestos and hazardous chemicals. Massachusetts adds its own list: MassDEP bans mattresses and box springs, textiles, large appliances, picture-tube TVs and monitors, lead-acid batteries, whole tires, leaves and yard waste, and recyclable paper, cardboard and containers from disposal (310 CMR 19.017). Yard waste goes in its own clean load. If you are unsure about an item, call before loading it.

Will a dumpster damage my driveway?

Our drivers take care during placement to minimize surface damage, and protective boards can go under the container on request. On concrete, asphalt or pavers we recommend boards or plywood under the contact points. Tell us before delivery if a surface worries you.

Which dumpster size do I need?

Some common guidelines: a roof replacement of around 2,000 square feet is a 15 yard; a kitchen remodel a 10 or 15; a whole-house cleanout a 20; new construction or demolition a 30 or 40. Count the job in pickup truck loads — about 3 for a 10 yard, up to about 12 for a 40. The size guide covers it; the phone call confirms it.

Do you deliver everywhere on the Cape?

Yes — all fifteen towns: Bourne, Falmouth, Mashpee and Sandwich; Barnstable and its villages, Yarmouth and Dennis; and Harwich, Brewster, Chatham, Orleans, Eastham, Wellfleet, Truro and Provincetown. Each has its own page with its own street and hauling rules.

When is the best time to book?

Early. Same-day depends on availability, and a call before noon gives you the best chance. For a planned remodel or cleanout, booking ahead gets you the size you want on the day you want it, and it helps during the Cape's busy seasons. If asbestos is coming out, or a larger building is being demolished, MassDEP's notices have to be filed ten working days ahead.
