Our yard is at 19 Tradesman Cir in East Falmouth — in the Town of Falmouth, Barnstable County, on a private road off Thomas B. Landers Rd, next door to the Town's Waste Management Facility. The town center is approx. 6 road miles away, around 12 minutes.

Falmouth is home. The US Census geocoder puts 19 Tradesman Cir in the Town of Falmouth, Barnstable County — on a private road just off town-owned Thomas B. Landers Rd, about a mile from Route 28. East Falmouth is the postal address; the yard itself sits outside the East Falmouth Census area. Same-day or next-day when availability allows; call earlier in the day and we can often deliver within hours.

Falmouth is a town of 32,517 at the 2020 Census, with villages from Woods Hole and Teaticket to East Falmouth, North Falmouth and West Falmouth. The Town's Waste Management Facility next to our yard is for Falmouth residents and Falmouth waste only, and it takes construction debris by the barrel or the pickup, trailer or one-ton-truck load — there's no line for a roll-off. A kitchen, a roof, a deck or a whole-house clean-out is roll-off work.

How we reach Falmouth

From Tradesman Cir every part of Falmouth is a short run — the town center is approx. 6 road miles, and Route 28 is about a mile from the yard. We deliver and pick up Monday through Saturday, inside the Town's 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. collection window, and the phone is answered 24/7.

Local knowledge

Getting our bearings in Falmouth

Knowing a city properly is the difference between covering it and showing up with the right box.

  • The yard is in Falmouth — 19 Tradesman Cir, a private road off Thomas B. Landers Rd, next door to the Town's Waste Management Facility at 458 Thomas B. Landers Rd (Census geocoder; MassDOT Road Inventory).
  • Collection hours — garbage, rubbish and other solid waste may be collected in Falmouth only between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. (Town Code § 191-10), so that's when we drop and swap.
  • Town drop-off — the Waste Management Facility is open Tuesday to Saturday, 7:45 a.m. to 3 p.m., for Falmouth residents and Falmouth-origin waste, and every load coming in must be covered (WMF Guide, revised December 2025).
  • Not at the Town facility — asbestos, whole trees, stumps, branches and brush, and paints, stains and solvents.
  • Mandatory recycling — since 14 April 2023 the Town requires residents, guests, businesses and institutions to recycle the materials on MassDEP's waste ban list.
  • Historic villages — demolition needs a certificate of appropriateness in the Davisville, Falmouth Center, North Falmouth, Quissett, Waquoit, West Falmouth and Woods Hole historic districts, and about 677 listed buildings carry a twelve-month demolition delay.

What comes out of Falmouth properties

Small clean-outs and yard debris fit a 10 (about 3 pickup loads); kitchen remodels a 10 or 15; flooring, deck removals and medium remodels a 15 (about 4 to 5 loads); roofing jobs, renovations and whole-house clean-outs a 20 (about 6); large clean-outs and construction a 30 (about 9); and demolition and new construction a 30 or 40 (about 12). Concrete, brick and roofing should be talked through before delivery to stay inside weight limits. A tight turnaround between summer tenants? Same-day is there when availability allows.

What goes in: household junk and furniture, construction debris such as wood, drywall, flooring and siding, and roofing shingles — plus concrete, brick or asphalt in approved limited quantities, talked through before delivery so the load stays inside weight limits. Brush, branches and yard waste go in a yard-waste container of their own. What doesn't go in: paints, solvents and automotive fluids, batteries and electronics, propane tanks and fuel containers, tires, medical waste, asbestos and hazardous chemicals — that's our own list. Massachusetts adds its own: MassDEP's waste bans (310 CMR 19.017) cover asphalt pavement, brick and concrete, metal, wood (from landfills), clean drywall, mattresses and textiles (since 1 November 2022), whole tires, large appliances, TV and monitor picture tubes, lead-acid batteries, leaves and yard waste, and recyclable paper, cardboard and containers, so mixed construction loads go to a C&D handling facility that meets MassDEP's minimum performance standard. Tell us before you load a mattress or an appliance. The state fire code also keeps oily rags and hot coals, cinders and hot scrap metal out of containers (527 CMR 1.00, 19.3.1). Our what can and can't go in a dumpster in Massachusetts guide covers the rest. Falmouth's hauler regulation also has permit holders give customers a copy of the MassDEP Waste Ban List (Board of Health regulation § 11.5). Leftover oil-based paint, solvents, pesticides, pool chemicals and automotive fluids go to Barnstable County's household hazardous waste collections, which run from April through October (capecod.gov); off-season, the County points residents to MassDEP's list of permanent facilities.

Permits, placement and who may haul in Falmouth

Who may haul: In Massachusetts no one may haul refuse through a town's streets without a permit from that town's Board of Health (M.G.L. c.111 § 31A), and the permits run to the end of the calendar year. Falmouth's Board of Health regulation (adopted 19 December 2022) says everyone in the business of collecting solid waste, recyclables or compostables in town must hold a Board permit before starting (§ 8.1), take the waste to a state-licensed disposal or recycling facility (§ 8.2) and report tonnage to the DPW monthly (§ 11.2), and the Health Department's fee page lists a permit class that names construction and demolition roll-off containers. We found no Town franchise for roll-offs. We're licensed and insured.

Fire Department permit: Falmouth Fire Prevention requires a dumpster permit for containers of 6 cubic yards or more (the state code says over 6) unless the container is delivered and removed in a single business day. The property or building owner, lessee or refuse generator obtains it — in person, online or by mail from Fire Prevention at 399 Main St, 508-495-2530. The inspector checks that the container is at least 10 feet from the building and doesn't block an exit or fire operations, and no flammable or combustible fluids go in. The state rule behind it, 527 CMR 1.00 Table 1.12.8.5, also wants the company's name and phone number on the container.

In the street: we found no Falmouth bylaw or permit for a container on a public way — the Streets and Sidewalks chapter (Ch. 199) doesn't cover containers, and the DPW's street-opening permits are for excavation. The container goes on your driveway or lot. Many Falmouth roads are private: the DPW maintains 218 miles of town-accepted roads and also plows about 184 miles of private roads, so on a private road check with the owners or the association first. You don't need to be home as long as the area is accessible and we know where the container goes. Our smaller containers fit easily in most driveways, and we place boards under the container to help prevent damage to the driveway.

On your property: we found no Town time limit or neighbor setback for a driveway roll-off beyond the Fire Department's 10-foot check. Chapter 105 of the Town Code, which bars dumpster-type containers, is about donation bins, not roll-offs.

State highways: most of Route 28 and all of Route 28A in Falmouth are MassDOT's; downtown Main St, West Main St and most of Route 151 are town-accepted. Nothing may be placed on a MassDOT state highway without MassDOT's written permit (M.G.L. c.81 § 21), and MassDOT has no dumpster or container permit type — so beside one the container goes on private property, never in the highway layout. Not every stretch of a numbered route is state-owned, so we check the exact address.

Covered loads: Falmouth's code wants solid waste in open trucks covered and tied down (§ 191-7). Massachusetts requires loads of rubbish and debris to be fully and adequately covered on the road (M.G.L. c.85 § 36). Keep debris level with or below the top edge — an overfilled container can't be transported.

Remodel or tear-down: Massachusetts requires an asbestos survey before demolition or renovation work (310 CMR 7.15), and asbestos removal needs a MassDEP notice filed ten working days before work starts by the licensed abatement contractor. MassDEP's construction and demolition notice (AQ 06) does not apply to residential buildings with fewer than 20 units. Asbestos never goes in our containers — tell us if the survey finds any.

How it works

Booking a dumpster in Falmouth

Booking a container here takes one phone call and about five minutes.

  1. Step 1: Call and tell us the job

One short conversation. We ask the address and the town — in Barnstable, the village — what you are clearing, whether a cleanout, a renovation, a roof, a yard or a job site, what is going in, roughly how much there is, and how much room the driveway or lot gives us.

  2. Step 2: We size it and quote it flat

We recommend the right size, so you do not pay for space you will not use or run out of room, and you get a clear, flat-rate price that covers delivery, pickup, the standard rental period and disposal within the included weight. If it is concrete, shingles or dirt, we say up front that weight decides the size.

  3. Step 3: Delivered where you want it

The driver sets the container on the driveway, lot or job site where you asked, on a flat, solid surface rather than the lawn, with protective boards on request. Often same-day or next-day, when availability allows. You do not need to be home if the spot is marked and clear.

  4. Step 4: Load it at your pace

Keep it level with or below the top edge and keep the problem items out — paint, solvents and automotive fluids, fuel and propane tanks, batteries and electronics, tires, medical waste, asbestos and hazardous chemicals, plus what Massachusetts bans from disposal, such as mattresses, appliances and recyclable cardboard. Need more time or a swap mid-job? One call.

  5. Step 5: We pick it up and handle the disposal

Call or text when it is full or the job is done and we schedule a prompt pickup, often within 24 hours. The load is covered for the road and goes to licensed disposal and recycling facilities, with metal, concrete, clean wood, cardboard and yard waste recycled whenever possible.

Is your yard in Falmouth?

Yes. The US Census geocoder places 19 Tradesman Cir, East Falmouth, in the Town of Falmouth, Barnstable County, on a private road off Thomas B. Landers Rd next to the Town's Waste Management Facility.

Do I need a permit for a dumpster in Falmouth?

For a container of 6 cubic yards or more that stays past the day it arrives, yes: the Falmouth Fire Department issues a dumpster permit, and the property owner, tenant or refuse generator obtains it. We found no Town street or driveway dumpster permit; keep the container on your property.

Can I take remodel debris to the Falmouth transfer station?

Small loads only. The Waste Management Facility on Thomas B. Landers Rd is for Falmouth residents and Falmouth waste, and takes construction debris by the barrel or the pickup, trailer or one-ton-truck load. A whole remodel goes in a roll-off.

How much does a dumpster cost in Falmouth?

It depends on the dumpster size, the rental length, the type of debris and where it has to be placed. Our pricing is flat rate: you get a clear price before delivery with no surprise fees. Call (508) 388-1861 for a quote.
